ART INSURANCE

For over 60 years, we have been supporting our primary insurance clients with our extensive knowledge in reinsurance issues related to art. We offer our clients tailor-made solutions for risks in private ownership, museums, exhibitions, art galleries, storage risks, classic cars and art trading. This includes solutions for both stationary and transportation risks, including terrorism.

Our reinsurance partners include renowned Lloyd's syndicates (via Lloyd's Insurance Company S.A., Brussels) as well as international and continental European reinsurers. All of our partners have very good ratings from Standard & Poor's or AM Best and have been involved in art insurance for many years. The long-standing working relationships we have with our partners are based on mutual trust.

Our solutions, which are individually tailored to the needs of our clients, include both proportional (optional facilities, line slips, quota share and/or excess of loss agreements) and non-proportional solutions, such as reporting XL's. Depending on the type of contract, we can offer up to EUR 500 million in cover through our partners. Within the framework of our own Fine Art Cover (first placed in the 1950s), we can offer capacities of up to EUR 50 million on short notice. If needed, we can also procure additional capacities beyond these sums.
